That isn’t always a problem, of course, but usually, even when characters are unlikable, there’s still something to root for - love, justice, hope. But the biggest issue to me was that so few characters were likable. It wasn’t a bad book by any means - in fact, the story was riveting, page-turning, even. Now that I’ve finally read it, though, I’m slightly underwhelmed.
